1. Remove the SIM card
The first step is to remove the SIM card from your phone. You can do this by removing the battery cover and sliding out the SIM tray. If you have a Samsung Galaxy S10 series device, you can use the SIM ejector tool located at the bottom right corner of the screen.
2. Clean the back of the phone
Now that you’ve removed the SIM card, you need to clean the back of your phone. Use a cotton swab dipped in rubbing alcohol to wipe down the back of the phone. Make sure not to get any residue on the camera lens!
3. Cut off the top of the phone
Next, cut off the top of your phone using a pair of scissors. This will expose the screws holding the motherboard together. Be careful not to cut yourself while doing this.
4. Unscrew the motherboard
Once you’ve cut off the top of the device, unscrew the motherboard. You’ll notice two small tabs on either side of the motherboard. Slide these tabs outwards to release the motherboard.
5. Separate the motherboard from the display
You should now be able to separate the motherboard from the display. There’s a small tab on each side of the display that holds the motherboard in place. Simply slide these tabs outwards to separate them.
6. Remove the motherboard
Finally, take the motherboard out of the phone. You may want to put some tape around the edges of the motherboard to keep it in place until you’re ready to install it in your computer.
7. Install the motherboard in your computer
Slide the motherboard into your computer and make sure it fits snugly. Once it’s installed, plug the power cord into the wall outlet and turn on your computer.
