Experts say it is likely that the four-day week will become more common, despite opposition from some leaders.

According to O’Connor, the 32-hour work week is emerging as “a as a tool for competitive advantage in terms of talent, attraction, and retention” in sectors that are already welcoming the change.

By 2026, it could be almost a competitive disadvantage for tech companies not to offer a four-day workweek.
