For instance, Lyft eliminated its diversity and inclusion teams in addition to cutting 13% of its workforce in the fourth quarter of 2022.

Companies are cutting DEI positions “at a faster pace than non-DEI roles, beginning in 2021 and continuing to accelerate during layoffs in 2022,” according to an analysis conducted by Revelio Labs.
