Graduate salaries have been rising steadily for years.
The National Association of Colleges and Employers, a non-profit organization based in the United States, has collected data for 2021 that show that the starting salary of some entry-level workers in particular fields has significantly increased:for instance, the typical pay for a software engineering major has ascended to $72,173 (£55,100) – a 7% climb in only one year.
According to Stanford University economist Nicholas Bloom, demand for labor is rapidly exceeding supply in certain industries, particularly the technology sector.
