Anne White named head of the Department of Nuclear Science and Engineering
With effect from July 1, Anne White, an associate professor of nuclear science and engineering at MIT and associate director of the Plasma Science and Fusion Center, will lead the Department of Nuclear Science and Engineering.
Anantha Chandrakasan, the Vannevar Bush Professor of Electrical Engineering and Computer Science and dean of the MIT School of Engineering, states, “Professor White is a brilliant researcher who has had a tremendous impact on students at MIT.
“She inspires our students and the research community because she tirelessly promotes nuclear fusion’s energy potential.I am eager to collaborate with her on the school’s leadership team.
