MIT Hong Kong Innovation Node finds permanent home
Yesterday, the MIT Hong Kong Innovation Node announced the permanent opening of its 5,000-square-foot facility. This facility will be a hub for collaborative innovation and entrepreneurship for MIT students, faculty, and alumni, as well as individuals who work in Hong Kong.
Chief Executive of Hong Kong Carrie Lam attended the facility’s opening ceremony, along with MIT alumni and friends, Innovation Node leaders, students, startups, and MIT professors who assisted in the Innovation Node’s launch and development.
The facility is in Kowloon Tong, close to major Hong Kong universities and easy to get to by public transportation. It has cutting-edge equipment for prototyping, a makerspace, and a variety of multipurpose areas that can be used for classes, lectures, and work spaces.
