MIT launches Task Force on the Work of the Future

MIT’s Task Force on the Work of the Future was launched today as part of an effort to comprehend and influence the future of jobs in an era of innovation.Provost Martin A. Schmidt made the announcement of the task force’s mission in a letter to the MIT community.

According to Schmidt’s writing, “The MIT Task Force on the Work of the Future takes as a guiding premise that addressing the social and human implications of technology should not be an afterthought, but rather should be a first concern that pervades how we design, innovate, and take our ideas to market, as well as what we teach our students, the technologists of tomorrow.

” This is something that should be a primary focus for the task force.According to MIT President L. Rafael Reif, the project of the task force is an essential component of evaluating the strength of our civic fabric.
