Gradiant: Cleantech water solutions
Water is necessary for manufacturing, and a lot of it.Over ten million gallons of water are consumed daily by a medium-sized semiconductor fabrication plant. This reliance on water presents a significant challenge in a world increasingly plagued by droughts.
Gradiant offers an answer for this water issue. The company, co-founded by Prakash Govindan PhD ’12 and Anurag Bajpayee SM ’08, is a pioneer in sustainable water projects, or “cleantech.”Bajpayee and Govindan were both doctoral students at the Rohsenow Kendall Heat Transfer Laboratory.
Both of them had a penchant for action and were pragmatic. Both Bajpayee and Govindan collaborated with Professor John Lienhard on research related to desalination.
