Going quantum

Applications based on quantum computing might be more compelling.Strangely, superposition is the ability of tiny particles of matter to simultaneously exist in states that are mutually exclusive.

Bits constructed from particles in superposition can simultaneously represent 0 and 1, whereas a bit in a conventional computer can be either on or off, representing 0 or 1.As a result, rather than considering each individual solution to a computational problem, they could theoretically evaluate many of them simultaneously.

Nuclear magnetic resonance and laser-trapped ions were used to build primitive quantum computers, but it’s hard to keep their bits, or “qubits,” for quantum bits, in superposition.Because it is difficult to get photons to interact, superposition is much simpler to maintain in photons.
